I noticed that my main keyword for my Home Improvement Site is on the bottom on page two of Google and remembered that I was going to focus on that site!
So, since it is my biggest money-maker, and since it is doing well on Google now, I’m going to plan out my budget for the next few months and incorporate some heavy promoting and building of that site.
Here’s my tentative September budget:
$250 - 50 short articles for the home improvement site
$150 - Directory submission and social bookmarking services for H.I.S.
$180 - 20 good articles to promote different pages of the H.I.S.
$100 - Sponsor H.I.S. on a WP theme
$180 - 20 good articles to promote other sites (keep some fresh links coming in)
$180 - Hosting (I know!)
$150 - PLRs
$100 - Blog posts
——-
$1290
I think that will be good for now, and I really think that if I can stick with this for a while, that I may be able to really get my main site going.

Sounds good, it will be interesting to see your progress now that you have a larger budget to work with

I don’t you should put such a huge budget at it, if you make regular blog posts and have your target keyword linked then you should be able to get on front page of Google especially if there not too much competition for your keyword.

Someone referenced your website on LostBallinHighWeeds.com comment. I like the fact that you have built your success slowly. I wish you had posts about profits (or lack thereof) that went back to your true beginnings. I think your first post about profits was that you earned about $4K in 2004 from blogging. Is that right? That seems pretty good for just beginning. Do you remember having, er, less than $30 ($1 a day) months?
I see that you are outsourcing work now. So how much time are you planning to spend a day to generate the $100 a day target income?
I’m still bouncing back and forth between the world of you-CAN-make-money-online, usually said by someone selling info on how to do so and others who are saying, unless you are very good or very lucky, the amount of time you will spend trying to earn money online is just not worth it.
Anyway, I just wondered how much time a day you put into this.
