I’m lucky enough to have the problem of having too many visitors to one of my sites (my massive blog network in the works, all on subdomains) and it’s now down about 1/4th of the time. It’s infuriating and the hosting company (BlueHost) has no upgrade options.
So, after evaluating all of the hosting companies I’ve used, I’ve decided to have HostGator move it for me to their hosting (despite some problems I’ve recently had with them, they’re still the best I’ve used). They are both on cpanel so let’s hope things go smoothly. I am a little worried though because it has 36 SQL databases loaded with content. If something goes wrong, there goes at least half of my income, as well as two great PR5 blogs… So I’m a bit on the edge right now!

Hi. You really should backup your databases (and your site files) yourself and store them on your personal pc. That way if anything goes wrong you’ll have your own copy of your databases and sites.
If you need help, email me. No charge of course.
Have a great day,
Shannon

I do have a full copy backed up on my PC, but I’m still worried that I won’t be able to get things up just right or something - if I do have a problem I will email you - thanks for the offer, that’s really nice

Make sure and read their TOS, they have a large list of things they do not allow, for example you can not use the word Escrow, if you do you can be kicked off their hosting.
I also got kicked off because I used their auto reply for an email account and someone sent me an email then complained about getting a response, so hostgator closed my account.
but until they kick you off they have great up time. good luck.
