I’m so excited right now - I just got a new blog listed on the sidebar of a whole section of About.com!!Â
I just got this crazy idea two nights ago to submit this blog, this brand new blog with about 15 posts, but a blog that I put some personal notes in and lots of pictures and fun stuff, to About - and I just wrote the guy asking if he would add it and tonight he wrote back that he did, and even said he thought it was great! OMG, this makes me really want to build up my other sites into really unique, wonderful things and see if I can get them into some cool places. I have a feeling that I really haven’t tried to promote some of my sites much, and with a little effort (and a lot of luck I’m sure), things like this can happen!
A cool little accomplishment for me - I’m excited

Thanks! It really does show that just getting out there and using old-fashioned linking methods like writing to editors and webmasters can really pay off.
I have been getting a little bit of traffic from it, which is good, and a PR6 backlinks and lots of 5’s and 4’s. I have no ads on it now, I think I may work on this site, too, now, and monetize it later, and probably in a subtle way.
